And more flower photos from the BUGA Rathenow. Rathenow has two very nice parks, the Optikpark and the Weinberg (vinyard) that are now connected by a bridge going over the river Havel. The bridege was built specifically for the BUGA, which in my humble opinion was a good investment for once. The Optikpark has lots of colourful gardens and a water lily pond as well as a refracting telescope and other optical elements. We could also make a raft ride, which was nice and relaxing and we even saw a kingfisher. The Bismarck tower can be found on top the Weinberg. The tower was built in honour of Otto von Bismarck in 1914.

I have to say I liked the parks and gardens in Rathenow best, maybe because the garden landscape was already there and they didn’t need to do so much new for the BUGA. The raft ride for example existed long before the BUGA.

Und noch mehr Blümchenfotos von der BUGA diesmal in Rathenow. Rathenow hat zwei sehr hübsche Parks, den Optikpark und den Weinberg, diese sind nun durch eine Brücke über der Havel verbunden. Die Brücke wurde extra für die BUGA gebaut, was meiner Meinung nach mal eine gute Investition war. Der Optikpark biete viele bunte Gärten, einen Seerosenteich, das Brachymedial-Fernrohr und weitere optische Elemente. Wir konnten auch eine kleine Floßfahrt machen, was schön und erholsam war, wir haben sogar einen Eisvogel gesehen. Der Bismarckturm kann auf dem Weinberg gefunden werden. Der Turm entstand zu Ehren Otto von Bismarcks und wurde 1914 gebaut.

Ich muss sagen, dass mir Rathenow von den BUGA Parks am besten gefallen hat. Vielleicht weil es die Parks in dieser Form bereits in Rathenow gab und nicht extra viel Neues für die BUGA gemacht werden musste. Die Floßfahrt gab es zum Beispiel auch schon vor der BUGA.
